Software Development and Intellectual Property
Hershel has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of software development, and brings expertise in product and project management, implementation of quality systems, development of strategic business relationships, driving and integrating acquisitions, developing leadership talent and protecting Intellectual Property. A good portion of Hershel's career was spent in executive roles at IBM, where his responsibilities included driving the business and technical strategy for IBM's Software Products group, leadership of the 2,500-person IBM Canada Software Lab, and running the worldwide development operations for DB2, WebSphere Application Server and Tivoli Storage and Security Software Products.
During the last several years, Hershel has focused on helping companies develop and run Big Data solutions, with emphasis on creating technology to optimize business processes using applied analytics.
